The Diane Brahm Workshop at the Downtown Art Gallery in Brenham was a great success.  Diane taught us how to use steam to fix pastel artwork.  Absolutely amazing!  The changes that occur are so cool.

We're having a "Pastels on Canvas" Technique Demo and Workshop with Diane Brahm on April 20th.  Just imagine, you can frame your pastels without the visual obstruction of glass!  Come learn how to apply your pastels directly on the surface of your canvas or canvas board.

The cost of the workshop is $65 for BFAL members and $70 for non-members.  We need to know who's coming ASAP so please contact us if your interested.

Pastels
Subject material
Canvas or canvas board (16" x 20" or smaller)
Clothing steamer (if you have one)
Diane will furnish all other supplies and will bring extra pastels for you to use, in case you don't have any.

Great LaNell Arndt Demo at the February meeting!

We had a great Demo Monday at the BFAL February meeting.  LaNell Arndt showed us the beautiful techniques she uses in her landscape paintings.
